In May 1985, the AppleTalk Pascal interface was divided into two parts: the ABPasCalls object file (on the Lisa Workshop), and the ABPackage Macintosh resource (Resource type 'atpl'; ID=0). These files are distributed with the Inside Macintosh software supplement.
If you are going to develop an application and wish to use the AppleTalk Pascal interface, you must obtain the latest Inside Macintosh software supplement; to do so, please contact Apple Developer Services at (408)996-1010.
Existing applications that use the AppleTalk Pascal interface (with the ABPasCalls object file version of May 1985 or later) may now be updated using the latest version (3.4) of the ABPackage resource included in the ABPackage 3.4 file on the Inside AppleTalk Tools diskette. You should use a resource copying utility like ResEdit to copy this resource into your application. If your application was linked with a version of the AppleTalk Pascal interface older than May 1985, you must relink it with the new version of the interface provided in the software supplement.
